“White Album” songs at 92YTribeca on Dec 12th
Bubble perform a special “best of” concert of selections from The Beatles 1968 classic White Album for this family friendly concert at 92YTribeca (which IS in Tribeca but NOT on 92nd st). Featuring a dizzying array of styles and sounds, The Beatles (unofficially named The White Album by fans after the plain white album sleeve) was an extreme departure from the group’s previous psychedelic albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour. From rock n’ rollers like “Back In The USSR”, “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey” and “Birthday” to gentle acoustic numbers like “I Will,” “Cry Baby Cry” and everything in between, The Beatles crammed two records full of more ideas than most bands do in their entire careers. At this morning performance Bubble will introduce kids (and reintroduce their parents) to some of the best moments from this landmark album.
$15, babies under 2-years-old are free. Order tickets here.
